A Family Away From Home
Open to all, regardless of religion, race, nationality, or gender
For ages 14-21
Since 1984, Shanti House has opened its doors to at-risk and endangered youth aged 14-21, pioneering this vital mission in Israel. Young people from every corner of the country, all walks of life, and all communities find their way to Shanti Houses – we welcome everyone, regardless of religion, race, gender, nationality, or identity. We provide comprehensive emotional support, therapeutic care, and practical assistance to young people standing at life’s edge, helping them find their way back to society and toward a brighter future.
At Shanti House, we embrace diverse therapeutic methods to help young people heal and grow. Our mission is to empower youth and young adults with the tools they need to rebuild their lives and create their own future. We achieve this through professional training programs, personal empowerment workshops, and guidance in joining the workforce.
The Shanti House Way is a unique therapeutic approach developed through years of hands-on experience by Mariuma Klein, founder and CEO of Shanti House. This method evolved from direct engagement with youth, carefully crafted to address the real, changing needs of teenagers and young adults in crisis.
Shanti House serves as a true family environment, wrapping each young person in comprehensive care and support. Our residents receive personal mentoring, supervision, warm meals, homework assistance, and enrichment activities. Our dedicated team walks alongside them through every step of their journey, big or small. But what does this mean in practice?

Shanti House’s success speaks for itself. Every year, hundreds of young people receive a second chance – breaking free from isolation and risk, rediscovering their self-worth, and building healthy, fulfilling lives. Our dedicated work plays a vital role in society’s mission to support at-risk youth and ensure no generation is lost. Shanti House reminds us all that no young person should be left behind, and there’s always a reason to give someone another chance.

Since 2023, Shanti House has been operating a food truck on the outskirts of the Shanti House Desert Youth Village. The youth of the house, service year participants, and staff actively contribute to its operations. The food truck is located in a spot that offers a mesmerizing desert view, surrounded by an inviting and spacious area.
The primary purpose of the bus is music therapy – including music lessons, podcast recordings, and editing.
The bus is also available for rent to the public! Recording a song for an event? Creating music? Come to the most unique recording studio you’ve ever seen, right in the heart of the desert, led by Patrick Sabag, a highly respected music producer and creator in the industry.
