“Sorry We Were Born” is a moving collection of 49 poems written by youth who found refuge at Shanti House.

Each poem is uniquely designed with sensitivity and care by designer Edi Goldfein. These raw and heartfelt texts offer an unfiltered glimpse into the lives and souls of street youth. The book serves as a poignant testament to their courage in breaking free from suffering and finding their light through faith, forgiveness, love, hope, and boundless optimism.
